St. John Neumann Seminary College
Saint John Neumann Seminary provides an environment of prayer and study for men pursuing a vocation to the priesthood. Neumann offers an opportunity for men to seek the will of God in their lives, to follow the example of our Lord in an atmosphere of Christian charity, and to discern whether or not they are being called by the Lord to serve the Church as priests. Neumann fosters vocations to the priesthood with preparation on the human, spiritual, intellectual, and pastoral levels for entrance into major theology. Neumann currently trains candidates from many (arch)dioceses, including New York, Washington DC, Burlington,Metuchan, as well as from religious congregations. College seminarians receive their education at local Catholic colleges, and pre-theologians attend in-house classes taught by an excellent faculty of priests, religious, and laity. Since its founding in 1977, each Neumann seminarian embodies our motto: “I continue my pursuit toward the goal, the prize of God’s upward calling, in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 3:14).
