New Applicants who are wanting to pursue an MA in Theology, MA in Catholic Philosophical Studies, Post-Master's Certificate in Sacred Scripture, or Post-Master's Certificate in Dogmatic Theology will apply through the Online Application for Non-Seminarians.
Once the application is submitted online, it is reviewed and kept in an applicant status until all required documents are received by the Academic Office.
Required Document for Consideration of Prospective Students:
Candidates for the Permanent Diaconate who are new to St. Joseph's Seminary MA Program will apply online through the Online Application portal.
Because each diocese requires Letters of Intent or a Statement of Purpose and recommendation letters, candidates for the permanent diaconate are exempt from submitting those documents to St. Joseph's Seminary; however, official transcripts and proof of immunization (if born after January 1957) are required and must be submitted to the Academic Office. Candidates of the Permanent Diaconate are exempt from the $50.00 application fee. Please contact your diaconate office for the waiver code.
First Year Seminarians and First Year CFR's will register in the SJS system using the First Year Seminarian Registration Form. Once in the Student Information System, seminarians and CFR's will be able to access the Online Student Information System.
If you have trouble accessing the forms or accessing Populi, please call (914) 367-8281 or email cynthia.harrison@archny.org for assistance.
