Timothy G. Lock, Ph.D is a licensed psychologist working since 2019 as the full time Director of Psychological Services at St. Joseph's Seminary (Dunwoodie) of the Archdiocese of New York. With the seminarians, Dr. Lock offers counseling and consultation, and teaches in the formation program. With the formation faculty and spiritual directors, he offers consultation, in-service trainings, and he assist the Admissions Board. Outside of the seminary, Dr. Lock is the founder and director of the Goretti Center for Healing and Forgiveness where he has been treating clients since 2001. Dr. Lock specializes in the treatment of clergy and male and female religious, as well as those who have experienced trauma, those who suffer from anxiety disorders, and those who struggle with sexual issues. He also serves on the Review Board of the Conference of Major Superiors of Men, the Diocese of Bridgeport Ministerial Misconduct Advisory Board, and the Board of Directors of both Courage International and the Christian Counseling Center of Greater Danbury. Dr. Lock has lectured nationally and internationally to seminarians, clergy, mental health practitioners, and the general public. A practicing Roman Catholic, Dr. Lock lives with his wife of 28 years and their eight children in northwestern Connecticut.
